Here is a secure, interactive password generator you can use directly from your browser. It runs entirely on your device: your passwords are never sent over the internet or stored anywhere.

How It Works#
The generator uses crypto.getRandomValues(), the cryptographically secure random number generator built into the browser. Unlike Math.random(), its values are not predictable, so they are suitable for creating passwords and keys.
5 Tips for Truly Secure Passwords#
- Length comes first: use at least 16 characters. Every extra character makes the password much harder to guess.
- One password per service: if a site suffers a data breach, your other accounts stay safe.
- Use a password manager: Bitwarden, 1Password, KeePassXC or your system’s keychain remember passwords for you.
- Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA): even if someone finds out your password, they can’t get in without the second factor.
- No “personal” passwords: no birthdays, pet names or common words, they are the first ones attackers try.
